The bus at the start of the project
. .

The photograph by Lewis Durham of Kent News and Pictures which made it to the Evening Standard, June 1999. The article was entitled 'Heifer ready!' but was later shown to Workshop delegates with the caption 'This do, Dearheart?' as the young cow was a natural subject - she crossed the field and posed on request, even put her best hoof forward, tossing her head this way and that. Finally, she looked most indignant when the photography session ended before she fancied it should!

Inside the old bus when we first visited it in its cow field. The cobwebs don't show up in the photograph!
Photography: Timo Newton Syms and Andy Sparrow

Inside the bus, upstairs. It had been used fairly recently as a field cafe for a steam rally, so was in reasonable order, barring the small crop of dead flies - and more cobwebs.
