Welcome to the Guestbook Archives

Thank you for visiting our archive page. Sadly, the Internet world has changed for the worse, and now it is inappropriate to have a freely available, interactive page for visitors to leave their greetings. Our thanks to all the bona fide visitors for their contributions. These were particularly encouraging in the early days. To protect them from some of the spam we are receiving, I have removed all their e-mail addresses, and 'coded' mine (editor).
If you are interested in our subject, please e-mail me (extract address from info at the bottom of the page). So far, there have been insufficient e-mails to warrant setting up a protected page. Nevertheless, it may soon be possible to use a facility such as Mailbase. If you are interested in participating, please write!

I am an aromatherapist looking into the possibility that humans are capable of detecting - via the olfactory system - substances beneficial to health. This is a phenomenon I have noticed with clients and I’d like to prove more than anecdotal evidence for it one day! Thanks for the site, mucho good info and links. Liz Tams

Never knew there was such a site on noses. I've always been told I have a great one. Looking forward to learning more.

Hello - I'm doing a literature review on molecular aspects of olfaction and I'm looking for any recent advances in the field. Any tips would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Excellent web site. I will pass your address to my colleagues in France and to some people in the UK who might be interested in what you do.

Cool site, Mum! It looks a lot better when you see it from someone else's compy, instead of the dissection of it on your own one!!! I shall try and get the pupils interested, if possible (well staff at least). Keep up the cool stuff!

I attended the UK chemical signals workshop in 1993 as a Ph.D. student. I had a great time, learned a lot and made one very useful and enduring contact. I'm glad to see that UK interest in this field is being revived and has entered the electronic age with these splendid web pages. I look forward to watching this develop.

Thanks for all your hard work Jenny. This is a beautiful website and I hope that people will take advantage of it, add to it and create a focus for the exchange of ideas and information.

Well done Jenny. Talking about a web site and finishing one are two differnt things. I'm sure it will be well used.

This is a really important step forward. Congratulations Jenny and all concerned. We have come a long way from the days when Stefan and I ran our first UK Chemical Signals Workshop following Chemical Signals in Vertebrates V in Oxford in 1988.

Please be so kind as to link my URL to your very nice website. Please give my regards to Eric Albone, who might recall me as a former student of Steve Van Toller. Thanks.
